Dr. Ashok Kumar

Dr. Ashok Kumar is former Professor of Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Indore. He has also worked as Professor and Head in the area of Human Resources (HR) & Organizational Behavior (OB) in one of the Business Schools of a leading state recognized private university. He was General Manager in Steel Authority ofIndia Ltd. (SAIL) with responsibility of leading its Corporate Training Institute (MTI) at Ranchi. Currently, he is Consultant in Centre for VUCA studies, Lucknow. He has rich experience of about 50 years in academics and industry.

Dr. Ashok Kumar holds doctorate (Ph. D) degree with professional qualifications in Business Management and Demography. He has received advanced training in Management at Ashorne Hill College of Management, UK. He has provided consultancy to Metal Industries at Egypt, Health and Population Division of USAID in India and JHARCRAFT, an undertaking of the Government of Jharkhand. He has designed and conducted several training programs for Public and Private Organizations. He has authored more than hundred research reports and papers. He has written three books and has been co-editor of three books published by reputed publishers. His latest co-authored book is “VUCA in Start-ups”, published by Jaico International. This book is based on research of nine Indian start-ups. The book, primarily, presents VUCA factors faced by these start-ups during their entrepreneurial journey and how did they mitigate VUCA challenges.
